More than 30 drivers and teams. Well over 200 backpacks. One racing community showing up for its kids.

The Home Track Initiative was proud to take part in the Dells Raceway Park Back to School Backpack Giveaway. Helping prepare backpacks for a new school year gave our mission a practical purpose: supporting families through the community we share at the track.

For us, the success of this first effort was about more than backpacks. It was about drivers, teams, and supporters making time to help. The same people who bring energy to race night brought that spirit to a project focused on local families.

A team effort

More than 30 drivers and teams donated backpacks and school supplies for the giveaway. The response was so generous that we lost count of the final total, but it was well over 200 backpacks. What started as a back-to-school effort became a powerful reminder of how much this racing community cares.

Drivers making a difference

Home Track Initiative driver Becca Kruschke and her sponsors donated more than 75 backpacks stuffed with school supplies. That contribution alone helped put the essentials for a new school year into dozens of kids’ hands.

Home Track Initiative driver Parker Wenkman hosted a “Stuff the Racecar” donation event in Lake Delton with the help of his local sponsors. By bringing the collection effort into the community, Parker gave people another way to get involved and support the giveaway.

Garrett Scott of G. Scott Racing, Parker Wenkman, and Becca Kruschke all participated in the giveaway. Their involvement is one of the reasons we’re proud to welcome them to our Approved Driver Team. Having fun and going fast are part of the story; building community gives that story its meaning.

Support beyond race night

Any extra school supplies were donated to the local school district, extending the community’s generosity beyond the giveaway and into local classrooms.

Thank you to Dells Raceway Park, the more than 30 participating drivers and teams, their sponsors, and everyone who contributed to making this giveaway a success. Every contribution helped turn a shared idea into something useful for kids heading back to school.

This was the first backpack giveaway The Home Track Initiative has been involved in, and it’s a moment we’re proud to celebrate. It reminds us why we started: local racing brings people together, and those connections can do good far beyond the grandstands.

We’re grateful to have been part of it—and excited to keep building on that community spirit.

Have fun. Go fast. Build community.Evan WatzThe Home Track Initiative
